URGENT-Zylon®-based body armor survey of all New Jersey law enforcement agencies

The U.S. Department of Justice announced last week that all vests containing Zylon® should be replaced. Attorney General Peter Harvey has directed every New Jersey law enforcement and correctional agency to report immediately the number of body armor vests containing Zylon® that currently are in use. All responses must be received by September 9, 2005.

The U.S. Department of Justice advises that all officers should wear their Zylon®-containing vests until the vests are replaced.
